6.GELISIM-UWE International Conference on Economics and Finance

GELISIM-UWE International Conference on Economics and Finance was held for the sixth time on 12-13 May 2022 with the cooperation of Istanbul Gelisim University and West of England University.
 
The theme of Gelisim-UWE 6th International Conference on Economics and Finance was “Evaluation of the consequences of regional inequalities in world income distribution in the field of economic, social and health: Solutions for a fairer world”.
 
On the first day of the conference, the keynote speeches were made by Dr. Kefei You (University of Greenwich) and Assoc. Prof. Onur Özdemir (Istanbul Gelisim University). While the keynote speeches of the second day were delivered by Dr. Linh Duong (University of the West of England) and Dr. Anoop S. Kumar (Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation).
 
In seven different sessions spanning two days, academics from various parts of the world and from all over Turkey made approximately thirty different presentations. In addition to the topics such as income distribution and regional inequality, which constitute the conference theme, topics such as the pandemic process that deeply affected the agenda, and 'Non-Fungible Tokens' were also included in the presentations.
 
The International Conference on Economics and Finance, which has been continuing uninterrupted since 2017, continued to take place online without interruption during the pandemic process. Participation and interest in the hybrid conference held this year were quite high.
