Laboratories
GENERAL INFORMATION
Istanbul Gelisim University Department of Civil Engineering is a department where theoretical and practical education is provided according to the international standards. There are several laboratories within the department in which students can apply what they learned in a theoretical way and develop research-related projects. The Physics and Computer Laboratories of our faculty and the Construction and Building Materials Laboratory of our department are put into service for students with their technological infrastructure.
CONSTRUCTION AND BUILDING MATERIALS LABORATORY
Undergraduate, masters and doctoral students use the construction and building materials laboratory where some of the applied courses of the Civil Engineering Department are taught. In the laboratory, the basic building materials of the constructions such as concrete, steel and plaster are examined along with the chemical used in the materials and experimental studies and projects related to the use and quality of the materials are carried out.
HYDRAULICS AND SOIL MECHANICS LABORATORY
Undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students benefit from the Hydraulics and Soil Mechanics Laboratory, where some of the applied courses of the Civil Engineering Department are given. At the undergraduate level, many experiments can be carried out in order to understand Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics, Hydrology and Soil Mechanics courses practically.
