Laboratories

GENERAL INFORMATION

Istanbul Gelisim University Civil Engineering Department is a department where theoretical and practical education is balanced in international standards. There are many laboratories within the department where students can apply what they learn in practice theoretically and develop research-oriented projects. The Construction and Construction Materials Laboratory, Hydraulics and Soil Mechanics Laboratory of our department and the Physics and Computer Laboratories of our faculty are offered to the service of students with their technological infrastructure.

 

CONSTRUCTION AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS LABORATORY

Undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students benefit from the construction and construction materials laboratory where some of the applied courses of the Civil Engineering Department are taught. In the laboratory where the basic building materials of construction such as concrete, steel, plaster are examined, the chemicals used in the materials are examined, experimental studies and projects are carried out on the use and quality of the materials.

 

HYDRAULICS AND SOIL MECHANICS LABORATORY

Undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students benefit from the Hydraulics and Soil laboratory where some of the applied courses of the Civil Engineering Department are taught. At the undergraduate level, many experiments can be carried out to provide a practical understanding of Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics, Hydrology and Soil Mechanics courses.
