The conference paper titled “Benchmarking Streamflow Performance of GR4J and TUW Models Using ERA5 and EOBS Data Over Bartın River” prepared by one of our department academic member, Res. Assist. Oğuzhan Murat HALAT was presented in the II. International Texas Congress on Advanced Scientific Research and Innovation.
This study evaluates the performance of different hydrological models for flood and drought predictions in the Bartın River. Using global meteorological data obtained from the Copernicus system, variables such as precipitation, temperature, and evapotranspiration were analyzed over a certain period.
During the model validation process, streamflow data from observation stations were used to compare the impact of different datasets on model performance. The results highlight the importance of data selection in hydrological forecasting and contribute to identifying the most suitable model and data source for high-flow predictions in the Bartın River.
