A seminar-style presentation was delivered to undergraduate students by Fatma DAFER, a master’s student of Assoc. Prof. Ahmad Reshad NOORI, Chair of the Civil Engineering Department.
The presentation focused on the “Cost Optimization of Steel–Concrete Composite Slabs,” covering the structural characteristics, advantages, and cost-related evaluation of composite slab systems. Different design approaches and their effects on overall cost optimization were also discussed with the students.
Such seminars aim to increase students’ awareness of current engineering applications and encourage their engagement with academic research topics.
