Asst. Prof. Ahmad Reshad NOORI, Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Istanbul Gelişim University, and his Ph.D. student Marwan Abdulkareem Shakir ALBAYATI have published their article titled “Üç Farklı Metasezgisel Algoritma Kullanılarak Petek Kirişlerin Yer Değiştirme Optimizasyonu” in the Journal of Çukurova University Faculty of Engineering.
The article presents a comprehensive analysis of optimizing the geometric properties of castellated beams using three different metaheuristic algorithms: the Flower Pollination Algorithm (FPA), the Firefly Algorithm (FA), and the Bat Algorithm (BA). The study examines the performance of beams made from S235, S255, and S355 steel materials, highlighting that the Flower Pollination Algorithm yields the most suitable results for engineering applications.
