Assist.Prof.Dr. Nurten Elkin gave online lectures on infectious diseases and vaccines.
Before starting the lesson,
Elkin, introduced himself briefly and then talked to high school students about our university's achievements in
THE 2020,
QS EEAC 2021 in terms of quality and internationalization in education. Turkey with 63, which accredited the university up to accreditation that they have universities and 13 out of these accreditations Istanbul Development University belongs to the Faculty of Health Sciences, department head of his Child Development department is also accredited a part of and the advantages to be gained accreditation to the students explained briefly.
Elkin first explained the scope of health, disease and public health and emphasized that
the control of infectious diseases and vaccines, which are the subject of today's course, are also very important in protecting and improving public health.

The negative effects of the pandemic process, which is an example of an infectious disease, the importance of protection in the pandemic, especially hand hygiene, the importance of protection from the pandemic, the use of correct masks, which are our protective measures in terms of the pandemic, the importance of maintaining social distance and especially hand hygiene.
Touching on the precautions to be taken for the control of infectious diseases and the relationship between infectious diseases and nutrition, Elkin gave basic information about vaccines during the rest of the course and answered all kinds of questions of students about both infectious diseases and vaccines.
She concluded her lesson by stating that infectious diseases and vaccines, which are our subject, are in fact closely related to the pandemic process and therefore, we need to pay attention to protective measures as an individual in order to protect public health, and also that vaccines are extremely important in ensuring social immunity.
