 The book entitled Child Development was translated


A part of the 14th edition of John W. Santrock's book Child Development was published by Prof. Dr. It was translated into Turkish by Prof. Dr. M. Meziyet Arı.


According to Prof. Dr. M. Meziyet Ari, the book provides a systematic and holistic approach to course material that emphasizes the connections between different aspects of child development, helps students better understand the concepts, and relates developmental connections with real life. With these features, it is an important resource for undergraduate students in the fields of child development, psychology, and education that conveys the nature of human development, including both classical theory and research, as well as recent  research and debates.
The headings in each section of the Child Development book are functional for readers:
To help students learn about child development more effectively, at the end of each main chapter are Review, Connect and Reflect, asking students to review the main topics in the chapter, relate these to existing knowledge, and relate what they have learned through their personal journeys throughout life. In addition, Link to Research describes a study or program that shows how research in the field of child development is conducted and affects understanding of discipline.
