In her presentation, ÇAVGA addressed in detail key topics such as academic preparations during undergraduate education, master’s and doctoral processes, scientific research methods, the culture of academic publishing, and academic ethics. In addition, she discussed both the opportunities offered by the academic profession and the challenges encountered throughout the process, providing participants with a realistic perspective.
Research Assistant Rabia Ceren ÇAVGA emphasized that being an academic is not limited to teaching alone, but rather requires continuous learning, productivity, and a disciplined work ethic. She also shared examples from her own academic experiences and responded to participants’ questions.
The program concluded with a question-and-answer session in which participants exchanged views on academic career planning, and the event ended in a motivating manner for those aiming to pursue an academic career.
