We know that the fight against inflation will take some time. We are in a transition period. We will do whatever it takes (monetary tightening, credit policy and incomes policies) to bring inflation under control and then bring it down. Patience will be worth it in the end. We are absolutely determined to fight inflation."
According to the data released today, consumer inflation was 9.09 percent month-on-month and 58.94 percent year-on-year in August. Inflation thus reached the highest level of the year.
