CB President Christine Lagarde said that headline inflation in the Eurozone could rise slightly again in the coming months.
Lagarde spoke at the Monetary Dialogue session of the European Parliament (EP) Economic and Financial Affairs Committee in Brussels.
Lagarde stated that the climate crisis continues to accelerate, leading to frequent and unprecedented natural disasters and that extreme weather events exacerbate the current challenges by triggering supply shocks that are reflected in the global economy.
Reminding that policymakers should keep an open mind, Lagarde pointed out the importance of central banks to act stably.
