 Facebook Announced Turkey's Favorite Emojis!




Emojis, which we can partially describe our feelings and thoughts with, continue to be used effectively in daily life. Especially with the active use of social media, it has become a part of our lives. In fact, the 17th of July is celebrated as World Emoji Day every year. On this year's World Emoji Day, Facebook released Turkey's favorite emojis based on April-July 2021 data. Let's take a look at these statistics together.
 
According to Facebook data, the most used emojis across Turkey were observed as tears of happiness or smiley face, red heart, folded hands and cocky smug emoji. According to the research, users of different age groups use some emojis more. For example, the X generation uses more emotional emojis, while the Y and Z generation use laughing emojis. Facebook, which also publishes a statistics between women and men, noticed that while men use the tears of happiness emoji the most, women use the heart kiss emoji. According to Facebook data, when we look at the posts shared around the world, it is recorded that women use more emoji than men.
 
Although it is not limited to just a statistic, there are also many studies on Emojis. In a recent study, it was found that the use of Emoji in advertisements positively affects the appreciation and attitudes of the audience. According to another study, emojis can vary according to the culture of the society in which they live. In the comparative study conducted in the form of West-East; It has been revealed that "Smile" and "People" themed Emojis have an intercultural similarity in meaning, while "Symbol" themed Emojis have an intercultural difference.
