Low Cost Airline Companies Affected Less By Covid-19

It is stated that low-cost airline companies have gone through the Covid-19 crisis with less damage than their high-cost competitors.

According to the research published by GlobalData, frugal and cost-reducing measures and operational regulations taken in the Covid-19 process predict that low-cost airlines cause less damage than others, and low-cost airlines may grow in the post-covid-19 period.

GlobalData Travel and Tourism Analyst Gus Gardner, who made an assessment within the scope of the research, said, “All airlines suffered a great deal of damage from covid-19. "Low-cost airline carriers are going through the pandemic process with less damage as they manage to reduce their costs even more," he said.

Gus Gardner stated that low-cost airlines will better meet the increasing affordability need after the covid-19 pandemic and said:

“Low cost airlines can gain a stronger place in the market as a result of covid-19. Leisure travel will likely get back together first. Considering the possibility that people will prefer trips close to their homes after covid-19, this will benefit low-cost airlines. "
