Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport experienced a significant increase in the number of passengers in the first two months of this year. 10.8 million passengers traveled through Istanbul Airport, with 2.4 million on domestic flights and 8.4 million on international flights. Compared to the same period last year, the number of passengers increased by 3.7 million. At Sabiha Gökçen Airport, 5.2 million passengers traveled, showing an increase of 18% on domestic flights and 36% on international flights compared to the same period last year.
The total number of passengers at Istanbul airports reached 16 million in two months, an increase of 43%. In parallel with this increase, 18,602 domestic and 55,847 international flights were operated at Istanbul Airport. The total number of flights also increased compared to the same period last year.
