 What Does An Audiologist Do? What Are The Career Opportunities For Audiologists?


Duties of the Audiologist:


·         Interpreting and reporting audiological test results,
·         Studies for the protection of hearing health and the prevention of hearing loss,
·         Evaluation and rehabilitation of hearing and balance disorders,
·         Selection and programming of devices to be used in hearing rehabilitation,
·         Auditory perception assessments and rehabilitation,
·         Taking part in hearing screening programs and applying tests,
·         Cochlear implant adjustment, candidate evaluation and follow-up,
·         Making noise measurements and giving information to protect hearing health,
·         Hearing-related training programs can be listed as preparation.
 
 
Audiologists can do their jobs;
 
In public hospitals,
In private hospitals,
In private practice,
In ENT centers,
In hearing aid production and sales centers,
In cochlear implant companies,
In special education and rehabilitation centers,
At the school for the deaf,
Universities and research centers,
In industrial companies,
In schools and nursing homes.
 
Our graduates can work in different sectors by taking titles such as pediatric audiologists, educational audiologists, clinical and rehabilitation audiologists, industrial audiologists. Our department graduates can apply to master's and doctoral programs if they aim to pursue an academic career.
