In the first year of the Department of Audiology, which has been continuing education and training since 2013 within the Faculty of Health Sciences of our university, there are basic and professional introductory courses. These are common courses in Health Sciences such as Anatomy and Physiology. Here, it is aimed to create a professional foundation for our students.
In the 2nd and 3rd years, education is given for audiological and vestibular tests, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and treatment of diseases. We have courses such as Test Methods in Hearing Measurement, Otolaryngology, Hearing Screening Programs, Introduction to Hearing Devices, Rehabilitative Audiology, Pediatric Audiology, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Auditory Therapy Techniques, and Application Principles.
Our students have internship opportunities in the summer term of their 2nd year.
In the 4th year, our students will be given clinical practice training, where they have the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have learned for three years, and they are offered the opportunity to practice in public hospitals, private hospitals and centers, hearing aid centers and special education and rehabilitation centers.
