Dear Graduate Students,
The "Introduction to Thesis and Seminar" course, a critical milestone in your graduate education, has been directly linked to the creation and approval process of the Thesis Proposal Form under the new regulations. This change aims to ensure that your academic efforts transition from theoretical presentations into formal research plans. Accordingly, every student is required to finalize their thesis topic, define its scope, and submit the prepared thesis proposal form for supervisor approval via the OBIS system by the end of the second semester at the latest.
Flexibility has been provided regarding the conduct of seminar courses. Each supervisor may manage the process through collective sessions or individual meetings, depending on the nature of the research topics. At the discretion of your supervisor, these meetings may be held either in-person or online.
Please be advised that if the thesis proposal form is not uploaded to the system on time or fails to receive supervisor approval, the student will be graded as unsuccessful (FF) for the seminar course. In such cases, the "Introduction to Thesis and Seminar" course must be repeated in the following semester. All approval and tracking procedures for the thesis proposal, as agreed upon with your supervisor, will be conducted exclusively through OBIS; no physical envelopes or printed documents are required.
