Dear Graduate Students,
Following the completion of your initial registration for the Graduate Programs (Thesis/Non-Thesis) in the Department of Architecture, the next step in your academic journey is the selection of a supervisor (in 1st semester). Please follow the instructions below to complete this process:
1. Contacting Faculty Members: Depending on your program (Thesis Supervisor for Master with Thesis / Project Supervisor for Non-Thesis Master), you are required to contact faculty members within our department.
2. Mutual Agreement: You are expected to discuss your proposed research area and the supervision process with the relevant faculty members. For the supervision to be official, the faculty member must formally agree to take you on as their student.
3. Notification to the Department: Once you have reached a mutual agreement with a faculty member, you must immediately notify the Departmental Office via email. Your notification should include the following statement: "Following my meeting with [Title and Name of the Professor], s/he has agreed to be my [Thesis / Term Project] supervisor. Submitted for your information."
It is crucial to complete this process promptly to avoid any delays in your course registrations and other academic milestones.
